Indications for Neonatal Transport (0-28 Days or <4 kg)

  • Respiratory distress
  • Unstable airway
  • Distended abdomen, unknown etiology/ surgical abdomen
  • Cyanotic heart disease
  • Congenital heart disease
  • Birth weight <2000gm or gest age < 32 weeks
  • Refractory seizures
  • Unstable VS
  • Unstable metabolic conditions
  • On pressors, prostin or symptomatic arrhythmias
  • Referring MD feels patient needs immediate/ rapid transport
